I downloaded this after reading that the app is on the chopping block and felt bad for the developer. Now I think I see why it’s on its way out. :-/
The only reason not to comply with the privacy policy is because you don't want to.
I enjoyed how the difficulty ramped up as the game progresses. An interesting take on match 3! On my Android 13 Pro, some of the artwork collides with the notch area, maybe this can be fixed in a future update.
Wanted to get this warning out there. See below, under App Privacy? That SHOULD be where developers provide information to users as to what data they may be providing to third parties and how that data is anonymized. Because Google grandfathered old apps so that they’d stay on the store, they let developers know that, with their NEXT update, they’d have to provide those details. Some developers don’t want to provide those details, though, and have intentionally NOT updated their apps so they can continue to route that data without your knowledge. If you’re ok with using an application where the developer is intentionally keeping WHAT they’re doing with your data from you, then continue to use it.
I could write a book about this. (figuratively) I saw Protopop’s tweet on Twitter, regarding Google reaching out to let him know this app is going to be pulled in 30 days because he won’t submit an update. I’m thoroughly upset, Google. I understand you want to keep apps up-to-date and current, but there shouldn’t be a need for another update, especially when the app is as far along / updated as he wants it to be. Allow him to write up a summary, and let his game resume its listing on Google’s AppStore. Or perhaps allow him to submit the same version as an “update”.
