Can’t open app on WiFi with iPhone 6

Wife and I love the app. Works fine using cellular data with our Android 6. Will NOT connect using home WiFi! Tech support checked our system, said problem is with the app, especially since NO other app has this problem! Must turn off WiFi at home to connect and then turn WiFi back on to save Cellular data! Should not be necessary and no way to contact app writer to correct!
