In the click more sounds section of a bird I selected I click on a bird sound and it kicks me out of the app.
Nice start, but needs a lot of work. Some basics such as species search don't work, and there are essential features such as range maps missing. As far as I could tell, there aren't actually any sounds included in the app. Also, this doesn't appear to include many Mexican species.
Stay away unless you specifically want access to xeno-canto in a more mobile friendly format or want to sample pictures from the "birdimagency" picture sales agency. Other than that, this app is bad. Multiple bugs (factual and coding) and no support other than automated email replies promising help that never materializes. If you need a field guide for North America, the Sibley, Peterson, Merlin, Audubon, or National Geographic guides all put this app to shame. Had it not been for the multitude of bugs and non-existent support, the quiz and community functionality could make this app stand out as a learning tool if not a field guide.
I purchased the pro version so I could hear more of the sounds as it promised...every one says "look for sounds online" instead of in the app. A complete waste of money. I found another app after purchasing this one that has all the bird songs for free.
