Not as good as some of the other games by this company, but fairly well designed. It lacks some of the imagination and variation in puzzles that some games have. The use of pointers is a little inconsistent, but workable. Translations of words describing tools are sometimes a little off, and once a hacksaw was called a knife (!), which threw me off for a bit. Otherwise entertaining.
I have played a lot of these hidden object adventures and this one was one of the best. After awhile, the puzzles in these games all seem to be the same, but this had some really different and challenging puzzles. I liked how the hidden object scenes were also puzzles to be figured out - like looking for clues in a detective story. The map made it easy to get around and stay on track. The entire game was challenging but not so hard that you can’t figure it out. I thought the story was fine. It was fun to play a game without a lot of gore and violence.I was really happy to see that there was a bonus chapter. The game was a good length. Overall, a great value. I highly recommend this game and I am looking forward to playing the others in this series.
I’ve played a lot of hidden-object adventure games of this sort. This one was nicely designed but I found it strangely dull and unengaging. The artwork is generally well done, but I found the gameplay uninspired (and unoriginal) and was kind of eager for it to be over. That does not usually happen. So I would recommend other similar games before this one (the earlier Five-BN game Lost Lands: Dark Overlord was better IMO).
I love it. It really keeps my attention. The characters are very life life and i also enjoy the puzzles throughout. I enjoyed it so much I unlocked the full game.
Low on violence, high on mysteries. As stories go, it’s a bit mundane: children are disappearing, but there’s a twist: so are mob bosses. And each is found with a butterfly, or having drawn one, and each scene also has a patch of green slime. The puzzles are wonderfully diffilcult to an appropriate mix of frustration, patience and thought: I like the use of hidden objects to solve small mysteries. Big or small mystery, all work your brain out; I like that -it’s worth the cost and provides hours of fun. The graphics are nicely done and a reminescent of the 1950s in form and costume. The heroine walking is a bit wooden, but did not detract from the game. There are also new and different puzzles to solve, and I thank the crew that put this game together for new puzzes and mysteries are better than the same formulas. I recommend hat you try it, but get your unoc money ready because you’ want to unock the whole game!.
