Does not work in the portrait mode

I have several apps that requires Kazakh keyboard. This keyboard does not work in the portrait mode on Android X. I am using the latest iOS version. The funny thing is that it works in the portrait mode if you first start in the landscape and then switch to the portrait mode. If you start with the portrait mode first, half of the keyboard is cut off. This is irritating.
