there really isn’t a point of this game, that i can see here. i think that there are problems here of course. some text boxes in the settings use unreadable characters, which i am unsure if it’s intentional. the sanity level does not revert to zero once you press reset, and its not very responsive sometimes. i think that this seems to be a good game when you’re really bored and want to explore rooms but honestly since each room is practically the same other than the wallpaper it’s still not very interesting.
so, it's pretty easy to tell clear off the bat that this app's trying to run in the same veins as the likes of Yume Nikki and LSD Dream Emulator. y'know, the wander around aimlessly and look at weird stuff playstyle. aaand... i like those games a lot, so i can respect that. unfortunately, though, Glitch World ends up feeling really empty - in a genre where there's a lot of empty spaces to begin with. basically, you walk through a square room with textures and go through a door that leads into another, basically identical room with different textures. it switches through a few different (stock?) songs (i don't know how many, as i had heard about 4 or 5 before i stopped playing) and much like LSD Dream Emulator, the textures corrupt over time. however, i really didn't have to play long before being faced with constant repeats, and the texture glitches are little more than unimpressive jpg corruptions (and on the note of jpgs, many of the textures were awkwardly compressed.) and, most egregiously of all, this game is missing something preeeeetty important: characters, objects, anything.imagine Yume Nikki or LSD Dream Emulator without its interesting and strange-looking little dream world denizens. now imagine if they also were both series of identical square rooms with different wallpapers, and you have Glitch World. an aimless wandering game doesn't really work if you don't have anything to find. as the sad cherry on top, though, this game also controls REALLY badly... it's incredibly hard just to walk in a straight line across the room. the little silver lining to this at least is that you can teleport by double tapping, though at one point i did teleport out of the room's walls and very nearly fell out of bounds. a for effort, i guess?
It won't even let me walk correctly...
This game has, if any, a little bit of potential. The idea (going through doors to find something different each time) is ok but there needs to be more. It's just not enough. (To whoever said it was psychedelical has obviously never played a good game before) this game, in all honesty, is boring. It's control is horribly unresponsive and never works half the time. The game loses me very quickly and needs to be worked on. I'm sure this is the first and only game you've developed so obviously you're not too experienced or its just really bad on purpose. Either way this game is not good but can be improbable. -Snaggy
Most people may not enjoy or like this game simply because it is "boring" i do not see this game as entertainment but real psycadelic since it feels great
