The game is mostly about managing cooldowns. The monetization is designed to make things go faster, and to bore you with having to wait. The fights offer you very little control, you select where your troop land and they do their thing, your only input is an “everyone attack here” button that has a 25 second cooldown.

I’ve been playing dominations for quite a few years now and it is quite addicting. Even after not playing for a few months I always come back for more city building and battles. I love how the gameplay works where you advance through history upgrading your buildings and fighting battles. However I really dislike how much of a cash grab the app has become and everything is about payments now. I definitely would rather have lid a few extra bucks to buy the game in the first place than keep getting targeted with ads to buy more crowns. Also when people buy everything with money it gives them an unfair advantage to people who can’t blow a thousand dollars on a video game. Also the updates aren’t as good anymore. Since the developers ran out of history to make gameplay out of the last few ages haven’t really added anything except a few extra levels to buildings. Instead of adding pointless ages the developers should maybe add another aspect of gameplay. Since this is inspired by clash of clans maybe something like a builder base of clan capital? Or maybe you can colonize other places through the dock? Because of this I really wish you could create an alt on the same device so I can play another account from the Stone Age again. Overall great game tho

This game is fun but it as a TON of issues. Randomly freezing, crashing when trying to use speed ups on upgrades, resources being spent on upgrades that never happen just to name a few. If it wasn’t this buggy it would be a really good mobile game. Unfortunately that isn’t the case

I have played this game for years. The game was amazing at first and I still love the game play. But the lack of support for the game has caused it to go down hill. The bugs in the game have made it more and more difficult to grow and enjoy. It’s a strategy game but you have no way learn from you attacks because the replays no longer match the attack. They have converted from being able to purchase items you need to a new gambling system that if you spend money you may get what you need. They broke the parliament system after teams spent time and money building it and they can’t seem to fix it. No one at customer support can answer simple questions about game play or stats. They broke the in game war coalition system and can’t seem to get it right. They constantly change the percentages on the chances you get something good in many of the game system but won’t share drop percentage info so you can adjust game play. So if you choose to play this game for free great but pleas don’t give them you money until they fix the many problems. Long term player hoping things get better.

The freedom to design your base and plan your attack of others is why I can’t put it down.
