1. - Your DIRECTV receiver must be configured to work with external remotes: Using your DIRECTV remote, press MENU and navigate to Settings & Help>Settings>Whole-Home>External Access.

2. - DIRECTV does not support external access to power functions on Genie Mini receivers.

3. Yoke Remote for DIRECTV only controls your DIRECTV receiver, therefore it cannot support volume functions.
