The app is a good password manager based on open source KeePass. Intuitive interface, and should offer good protection to your passwords, or any other sensitive text you may want to store. Unlike LastPass, DashLane, and most other commercial products, it doesn’t automatically upload your password database anywhere, and doesn’t require you to share your email with the company.

This is truly an incredible app for both iOS and Android. I’ve been using Strongbox for about a year, and the consistent updates, clean UI and multiple syncing methods make this app an absolute essential. The premium purchase is well worth the cost. Hands down the best password manager on the App Store.

I'll substantiate my claim that this is the best KeePass client from my perspective. Which if you're looking into this, likely aligns with yours. -It pulls directly from storage providers (also supports local storage). Main competitor only uses the Files app, which means relying on additional layers for syncs to occur. You may find yourself forcing a manual sync in OneDrive, Dropbox et al. unless you use Strongbox. My tests with my PC and Strongbox on iOS showed it always staying in sync every time. -Sync test between KeePass on Windows and Strongbox blew the competition out of the water. No one else supports differential sync on iOS except Strongbox. Syncing is the most important part of a KeePass client as it's not an entirely packaged solution like the cloud services. Strongbox just works. -Strongbox Pro is kept up to date with the freemium version. The most important part of software after functionality is maintenance. The competition doesn't do this with their pro version. You get the updates whenever they please, 6 months or more behind the freemium version. The idea is risk mitigation, pro users getting stable builds, and freemium users as test subjects. Unless the changes include a very sensitive part of the codebase which risks potential database corruption, I don't buy that story. -Has an outright purchase option, and in-app lifetime vs the outright purchase has no differences. As mentioned, the pro version is actually kept up to date. I rarely do subscriptions. I donate to another developer that maintains a custom firmware for routers. I appreciate his hard work, and donate for zero recognition. A successful strategy here that may draw more people in would be a thank you list updated every 6 months with current donors. Subscribe if you want to spend some time with this app to be sure. Or if you prefer lump sums, go ahead and buy the lifetime license if I've convinced you. I did the homework for you on this one. Strongbox, it's worth every piece of eight.
