I enjoy playing the AI, although the deck is routinely rigged in favor of the computer. Acquiring a good card guarantees it will only come up at the bottom of the deck, a problem the AI doesn’t seem to have. Would rate it higher and play more except for that.
I love this game, bought the physical decks first then got hooked on this. I play with several friends and we all play back and forth, I just wish we were all able to play together in one game, up to at least 4 people. If they added that, this would be a fantastic buy
The AI blatantly cheats and gets the absolute best draws every round and you will consistently get the worst for your deck. They insist the game is fair but they also had no clue the "random" shuffles were not random until people on BGG pointed it out to them that it was statistically impossible that they didn't screw it up.
This is a faithful recreation of the physical card game. I bought the app after buying the physical game. I like to use the app version to introduce people to the rules, then play the physical card game. There are inexpensive add-ones, deck upgrades, and other packs. It’s a good, well built game. I’ve never done the multi player, just single. It’s solid… and worth the money.
I love board games and have owned more than 400. Star Realms is one of my favorites, and there’s no deck builder my family and I would rather play. It’s that good! So what hooked me? Well for starters, I first played it here for free. There’s so much to like about this game. I love the factions and all the different synergies. I love the bases. I love how much the designers packed into this game while keeping the mechanics super streamlined and intuitive. The iconography is easy to understand and we rarely have questions about the rules (not so with other deck builders). I love the space theme, and I REALLY appreciate the family friendly art. This is a game we can ALL enjoy. The app is great. It is intuitive and works well. Thanks for the “Pass and Play”! I’m not sure why many apps don’t have it, but we appreciate it. Although the free version is awesome, after many plays we finally bought Colony wars. We loved that so much, I went to my local board game store and bought a physical copy of Frontiers (and the base game). Frontiers adds lots of new ways to play the game and most of them are great, but we especially love the co-op versions. My family and I mostly play competitively, but the co-ops in Frontiers are a fun twist to play sometimes.
