This is not compatiable with Adobe Illustrator. I wish that would have been mentioned up front before I wasted my money.
Biggest waist of money in my entire life. I can’t tell you how upset I am with this app. I hate losing hours of work in illustrator. And to make matters worse now I still lose it when I payed for it to be protected. I swear I’m going to find a new vector app What do the people at adobe do all day? Thanks for waisting my life time and money. Have a nice day.
I’ve been using this long enough now to have forgotten that I installed it until today when I needed to change the save timing. Seems to work great as advertised, no longer losing work when Illustrator crashes. It’s a bargain at the price if you use Illustrator much.
I originally purchased this app so that I would lose less work when Illustrator suddenly crashed on me (which it occasionally does if I’m working with really large files). If I haven’t saved for the last 10 minutes or so, it can be really time consuming and detrimental to my workflow to go back and re-do everything, so I thought this would be a solid purchase, since Adobe hasn’t implemented it’s own autosave feature FOR SOME REASON beyond my understanding. Here’s what I like about this app: 1. It does save the file that I’m working on at increments of my specification. For example, I can set it to save every 5 minutes, and it will save the file I have open. Here’s why I hate this app: 1. It only saves the file I have open, so if I’m jumping form one file to another, it won’t save any of that work. 2. It saves the file that I’m working on THREE TIMES IN A ROW. It used to be normal, and save once, then for some reason started saving twice, and now three times in a row. If you’ve ever waited for a large AI file to save once, then you know that waiting for it to save THREE TIMES is a huge waste of time. 3. It’s glitchy. See above comment. In Summary: I think this could be an excellent and much needed product, but it needs some work before I’d actually recommend it as a good option for autosaving AI files. I will continue to use it unti it starts saving 4 times in a row, at which point I don’t think it’s woth it anymore.
so simple and easy to use! adjust the auto-save time, and you know it’s REALLY saving becasue illustrator stops and saves. you can’t do anything in it while it’s happening, just like a manual save! (I’ve heard of other auto-save systems that work in the background not actually working and work being lost!) thanks SOOOO much!!! :D
