The only thing that is worst than this app is how useless the wifi feature is on the PIXPRO.
I really liked my Kodak PIXPRO SL 10 until it stopped functioning as it should. My phone is an Google 12 Pro with iOS 15.2. After the iOS update is when Kodak PIXPRO SL10 stopped acting as a camera. I wish I could show screen shots of what is happening. Basically, the phone still sees the Kodak PIXPRO SL10, but it can not connect to it. When I press connect, it only takes me to my PixPro Remote Viewer in the phone’s settings. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, so it is the newest version. I have also pressed the “forget network” on the Wi-Fi connections and reconnected to it, but the problem of not actually connecting to it still exists. Kodak, can you PLEASE reply to my review and help me out. Once you do that and my Kodak PIXPRO SL10 works again is when I’ll give this all five stars.
At first, my AZ528 could connect with no issue, and I’d be able to export my videos to my YouTube with no issue. As time went on, the app started to slowly have connection issues, by telling me that it lost its connection to my camera, and then other times it’d work. It’s gotten to the point now, where it refuses to connect at all. My phone is connected to the AP wifi on the camera, and even the camera says it’s connected; but when I try to open the app, it says the connection is lost and it’ll take me to the app settings on my Android, as if I can fix anything there. I’ve been looking for help, and reading on forums, and other customers have had this same issue. None of them received any help or replies about this same issue, therefore making it difficult for me to find my solution as well.
Therefore a WiFi connection is needed to connect between Android and camera (in my case Pixpro AZ528), not convenient if I want to control the camera outside with my phone when hiking or kayaking…
I have a WPZ2 and This app does not work on IOS passed a certain IOS update. I tried 3 iPhones with newest software and they didn’t work. Kodak advised maybe a faulty camera and sent me another one. It also did not work. I charged an old Android 6 that has an outdated software and it worked. For whatever reason Kodak has not updated the app to work with iPhones newest software. Which is very annoying and will cause me to return my camera.
