I just got this app as my desktop was getting filled with blue folders and it was getting hard to differentiate without squinting. I used to have a Windows computer that had a great application to set folder colors and icons. I browsed around the web for a Android alternative and this one was that came up. Some other apps offer more tweaking and altering but I just was looking for something affordable, quick, easy and basically just changes the color. This app was it! If you're looking for something very simple to use and gets the job done, I recommend this!
For example, once I change folder to red, I can not change my mind and make it green. I can restore original, i.e., the light blue, but another color change attempt will always revert to your first chosen color. How/where do I send video? /Users/glennh/Downloads/IMG_1590.MOV
Does NOT work for user specific folders like Documents, Downloads, Movies, Pictures, etc. Better off spending your $2-$3 on one of the folder colorizer apps that is actually capable of changing the color of ALL folders.
The app is simple to use and looks great - doesn’t take up much space, works well. But I really wanted to restore the colored look in LIST VIEW. This app only really works in GRID VIEW, it’s pretty useless in List because the tiny colored folder is not much larger than the colored tiny dot ‘tag’. Please adjust so that the entire line of the folder changes color in list view, if so I would give it 5 stars.
I’ve been looking for this function ever since OS X dropped it. I’m a happy camper again. If I could add one thing to it, it would be to be to put a shortcut up in the menu bar. I don’t need it often enough to have it sitting in the dock, but I would like it to be more accessible than going through the Launch window.
