It even doent get confused if i also use spotify connect to connect directly to my sonos. I saw an article about this app from Tech Radar, and due to Sonos update for the past 6mo I was desperately needing something different. The #1 thing for me and this app is that ITS FAST, the current Sonos app literally takes 90 seconds to load the current song, and it makes me want to die. This loads immediately and shut up and take my money!

I have had sonos since 2006. For xmas, I upgraded my system and bought 10 speakers , sub , bar, etc. This is the FIRST TIME ALL OF MY PRODUCTS WORK TOGETHER! I used to rave about Sonos. Now all my friends see is me cussing them out because there is NO MUSIC at a party! Then I miss part of the party because I’m determined and fail each time. All of my friends have the same issue. Its gotten so bad that we give each other Sonos Life Hacks. I’ve spent a few grand, and wish someone filed a class action lawsuit. Their developers should be fired. How does my Sonos work perfectly with a NONSONOS app??!! Explain that Sonos. I went from being obsessed and addicted to Sonos to never playing music. Because it either doesn’t work or drops a random speaker. Then takes you thru what feels like 50M ways to reconnect your 1 speaker. After it failing 20 times, and hardwiring with an eth . but then drops a different product. I feel like it’s a practical joke. I’ve literally never gone from loving a brand and being a salesperson to hating them, and I don’t hate anyone or anything. I can truly say I hate Sonos. Stay away if you are considering buying a system. Big thank you to this developer for giving us a solution that Sonos, the company itself, couldnt give us. Sonos gave us a controller where there is so much information all over the place and the organization makes no sense. It’s confusing and useless. How about you give us a controller that works all of your products seamlessly.!
Like so many others I found this app after Sonos botched the official app, removing functionality that had made the app and Sonos eco system great, one being able to play music one have on a NAS drive. After I downloaded the app the my music library was empty, but Stefan provided quick support and pointed to an article he had written about reconnecting your local library to your Sonos account. I had to download the windows Sonos controller on my PC and was able to add my NAS drive there and a few minutes later I saw all my music on the app. The app is much quicker than the new official app. Thank you Stefan for making a basic Sonos app that simply “works”.
