This app doesn’t work. I installed it and the photos I want to merge causes an error report. Junk...
Tried several times with several different photos and different combinations. I may not understand it (e.g. perhaps it can only merge photos that are exactly the same), but the output was uniformly worthless.
Wow… And NOT a good wow either…. I have this App for my Android which I love, so I was very excited to see it finally for Android. It is a very nice Android App (few bugs, few crashes and overall it is impressive). However, I expected MUCH more from the desktop version… Since it is not a camera application, it actually offers LESS than its Android counterpart (at least the Android version can take pictures!) -- This Android application is EXTREMELY limited in its usefulness with a cap on its maximum resolution: 3248x2432 pixels. (Imported higher res pics are downsampled for the final output.) -- It suffers from one of the biggest drawbacks of its Android cousin which is shadow ghosting (darker areas are "forced" into the final exposure with areas of badly sampled color). Typically, increasing the saturation first and then the contrast would solve part of the issue, but the application seems to respond differently than the Android version. I only paid $3.99 for the early launch version (50% off apparently), but it is truly only worth $0.99 at this point. Perhaps if this application is updated and expanded, it will be worth a full $8. But I don't anticipate that for a loooong time. Come on Pictional, get with the program and prove me wrong. :(
My T2i can bracket the f stops no problem, but the 2 or 3 photos it shoots can not be merged at all with this app. It says that the images are of different sizes, and if they mean megabites, then yes they are because they are. However, there’s no way I know of to get the photos to be the same size when they are different due to the bracketing within the camera. The “help” is just a small general use description and I sent an email to the developers. If they can provide a solution I will revise this review, but at this point I’m unable to use this at all.
The auto-align doesn’t work at all well, which makes this a lot less useful than I’d hoped.
