This app is only good if you have a Galileo.
This camera app is a great if you take a lot of videos with your Android. The slow motion is great for people who don't have an Android 5s. The videos that I took took with the app turned out pretty good and I found them to be better than the Google Camera app. I really wish that the slow motion was slower (120 fps) but I think that 60 fps is the limit of the Android 5 camera. In terms of photo performance I found that Videography is slightly better than the Google Camera app but it wouldn't be worth buying if you just take pictures. It would be cool to adjust the ISO levels although I'm not sure you can do that with an Android camera. Also I'm not really impressed with the night mode as it doesn't really do anything spectacular. One thing I would love to see it a dedicated burst mode. Currently you have to go into the camera and select the number of pictures per trigger. I have yet to try the detection so I will update my review after I do so.
Tracking with Galileo seems broken.
Update: There's still tracking bugs and connectivity issues. Plus no updates since July 😕 Face and motion tracking are inconsistent on my Android 5. Sometimes they don't even want to work with the back camera. I have to turn settings on and off or restart the app to get them to work. It seems to work much better with front camera. I haven't tried color tracking too much. I have a motrr galileo and it doesn't work too well with it. Sometimes it'll just keep spinning the galileo and it wont stop. When face tracking does work it sometimes moves the galileo past your face then stops. Also when rotating my Android the video will sometimes stay upside down and wont right itself. I have to quit the app to get it right side up again. When the app is fully working it works pretty well. The app has too many bugs right now. Needs a lot of work. Hopefully it'll be updated soon and be less buggy and work better with the motrr galileo.
I like this app, it works, but the only issue I've found, is when you turn on the motion detection setting, everything gets outlined with a blue hue. I've managed to get it to disappear, but I'm not sure how I did it. That's why I gave it only 3 stars. If they fix the issue with motion detection having the blue hazy outline around everything, I'd give it 5 stars. In the app makers defense, I have not tried to contact them about this issue to see if they have a fix.
