I was a bit worried it would be out of date (software wise) but this app works flawlessly in 2021 both on Android and my Mobile. And from what I’ve seen, it’s pretty up-to-date on trees too, based on my limited use. I do wish it had progressed more, with a visual glossary, better zoom (north woods are a bit too dense to easily find trees), etc, but already there’s an enormous amount of work gone into it for such a little price. Every park in the world should have such an app.
This app is a complete GPS based guide to the monuments, bridges, theaters, entertainment spots, lakes, ponds, streams, paths, gardens and trees of Central Park. You can locate yourself instantly anywhere. If you want to know the species of the tree you are standing under, this app will tell you for virtually every tree in the park. It is a must have for everyone entering Central Park to maximize their experience of that beautiful space.
