Newton for Android is a beautiful, clean interface. The Mobile version? Not so much. It is the phone interface with a reading pane on the right. 99% of Mobile users are using it in landscape mode, so why can’t we get the beautiful Android interface and instead get stuck with the phone interface? Aside from the interface, Newton is pretty good. There are a few changes I would like to see. First, even though you are using the “from name” from Google, you do not support changing that like every other email client. This is my one big gripe, because it means I cannot use certain email accounts in Newton. Second, I wish I knew it was more responsive talking to the server. I sent an email to myself as a test. The Gmail app showed it immediately. It took four minutes before Newton provided a notification. There seems to be constant server issues too, and the lack of regular updates, combined with the company’s history of running out of money/abandoning the product makes me wonder if they will fix these issues.
Title says it all. Incompetent devs who had no clue how to improve and maintain this app have now abandoned it again. You will waste $50 of your hard earned money subscribing to this crap.
Cloud magic is not providing any support for this product. I even had to go to Linked In and ask one of the owners to reply because they will not reply to email voicemail etc. major issues including sending the same email every hour again and again. Can you imagine how that customer feels about my business when Newton does this? Emails disappear, can no longer be searched, even attachments cannot be found. When I try to cancel Newton, not only will they not let me, they keep renewing it and I don’t even want to renew it so I have to go to the bank andBlock them but that is $80 later. Do not give this company a penny, They are not legitimate. I have a right to service when the product has major faults and I have a right to cancel the service. They will not allow me to do either and they do not deserve to be on the App Store.
Site wouldn't let me cancel because it said my account wasn't managed by stripe. Contacted company on Twitter and email weeks ago to make sure it was cancelled, but no response. Today, got charged by Stripe! What a scam!
Looks like DEVs abandoned the app again, but not before getting my 50 dollars for the year. The app has basically become unusable. Very glitchy and jittery when trying to delete multiple emails. Continues to log me out of emails and won’t let me sign back in. Just terrible! Used to be an awesome mail app, but it is bad once again! Would love it if this app could just stay working like it used to!
