My First App for Android

Circus, Vol. 2 is a well executed spatial orientation and puzzle app for preschoolers or early elementary kids. There are 3 modes of play, with each section's skill building on the other. After completing each puzzler, you get a fun and pleasing video. First there is a prepuzzle roller game where you match two halves of a picture. The second puzzle section is adaptable in number of pieces and piece orientation to complete your picture. Rotating the pieces requires use of your thumb and forefinger, and therefore is a good indicator of motor planning abilities. The third puzzler that I personally just love is the "roll" the ball in the hole game. You can also drag the ball to the hole, but I think tilting the Mobile teaches laterality and visual-motor coordination. The graphics and music are engaging and original. Recommended.

Tried this app out with my 2 year old (who of course is very advanced! heh heh). He found it fun. I had to help him understand a few of the tasks as they are not all completely intuitive, but after a brief bit of instruction, he took off with it. If you're someone who believes it's OK to give your kid an Mobile before age 2, then this app would be good for you. I could see my kiddo getting bored by the time he's 3, but for the price, it's a great deal for a starter app.

Cute little app for toddlers that enjoy puzzles. Options to scatter pieces from a few pieces to 9. Lots of scenes to pick from.
