This app is wonderful - a super easy place to keep track of your day to day emotions, negative behaviors/coping mechanisms and DBT practices. I recommend this app to anybody trying to cultivate emotional wellness; not just those in treatment for borderline personality disorder.
DBT therapist here— There’s a lot to like about the app, but it’s more time consuming than the traditional card stock diary cards. This app gives you a grade or percentage on what DBT skills you’ve used in a day, but the list isn’t comprehensive and a person doesn’t need to use every skill, every day—just the ones that are needed and relevant. Wish there was a 0-10 SUDs rating scale, instead of the likert 0-5. Tracking emotional experiences should come first, before tracking skills. Users should be able to input their own emotional targets, reactivity, self-harming and suicidal urges, and other impulses. Without these factors, it’s kinda incomplete.
In all my years of use of the App Store (which is, to say, a lot of years), I have never written a review in my recollection. Til now. This diary card is much better than the last one I tried. It’s intuitive and it helps keep me on track. It’s been perfect for me. Also, when I emailed for help, I got gifs back, so I was able to see *exactly* what to do. Thank you!
Love this app to keep me accountable for daily DBT! I do wish there was a way to click on the calendar and go directly to the "edit completed card" screen so I don't have to swipe the bubbles. But other than that it's been very helpful!
But unfortunately there is no way to switch between Mobile and Android because every time I try to create an account it gives me a network error.
