I rated this 5 stars 3 years ago and I still give it 5 stars. LOVE IT! If you are in the sciences - GET THIS. Convert all kinds of units, mix and match units in a long calculation - choose the output units! Dimensional analysis in a calculator. Thanks for this app!
PhysSyCalc turns an Android and/or Mobile into a very powerful scientific and engineering calculator. It has some really unique and powerful features that make it a must have tool for scientists and engineerings, i.e., unit tracking, unit conversion and handling of all the critical scientific constants that are needed for common scientific calculations. However, the thing I find most amazing about PhysSyCalc is that it is also a wonderful tool for general everyday time calculations, like measurements for cooking and converting units for simple measurements around the house. Hence, this app is not just used at work (Professor Jeffery L. Yarger), where I run a research laboratory in the Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics Departments at Arizona State University, it is also used by me and my family at home. Truly a must have app (PhysSyCalc) that has made all our other scientific calculators and simple everyday calculators obsolete. Furthermore, two of my children have type 1 diabetes and this app has turned their iphones and ipads into a critical carb calculator, and the fact that it handles all the units and conversions is what makes it wonderful for the kids to use and give us (the parents) piece of mind that the kids are calculating carbohydrates in their food correctly and don't have to worry about any silly mistakes because of unit conversions. Thanks for developing a truly wonderful general calculator that handles units and conversions in a very general and powerful fashion. -- Professor Jeffery L. Yarger, Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics at Arizona State University.
Like the big buttons. Took a while to understand the swipe gestures, but with a little practice I could do complicated calculations with units with ease. I still prefer to do my calculations on paper, but this app is a great way to double check your calculations.
I really liked the Android version and was glad that there's a Android version of this app.
I was searching the app store scientific calculators and found this app. It works really well as a replacement for Google’s calculator. I particularly like the bigger and easier to read buttons. The ability to include units in any calculation is fantastic. It’s something I’ve never seen before. It took no time understanding how it works.
