I enjoyed the first gam a lot for years and was excited when a sequel was announced and released. I enjoy the graphical upgrades, new home remodels, and the helper cat. However I really dislike that toys can degrade and break in this game, it doesn't really make the game more enjoyable and just forces the player to have to ration fish to maintain all of their items.
There’s nothing special, they removed 90% of the content compared to the first game. Play the first game if you want the full experience.
The sequel just feels more like a minor update to the old game with more stingy economy. Since the game is still pretty new I really hope they add more new features. Otherwise it’s a mildly relaxing idle game to come back to occasionally
it's just as simple as the original with some lively enhancements. see it like Neko Atsume 2.0. - toys can get damaged - cats interact with toys in new ways - objects have different colors + many other micro details
