Ocean State Libraries for Android

I am really enjoying the look of the new app. The thematic carousels of book covers that greet you make browsing for a potential read much easier. It really complements my use of the Libby app. This is a great improvement over the last version.

The old app worked fine. The new app does not work on my older phone. Poor people frequently have older phones. Fixing what wasn’t broken has the expected results. The library has inadvertently excluded poor people from access. This certainly is counter to the library’s mission.

The second to last version of this app worked well. I relied on it and enjoyed using it. The last version of this app only allowed me to use the library card barcode for scanning. I relied on it. This version of the app is completely nonfunctional. I have an Android 6s. Considering this is a public library app, it should be functional for a wider variety of phones, including older ones.

The app doesn’t open; it instantly crashes. I tried deleting and redownloading but no luck. Please fix this soon!! I love my library!! I will update review when it’s fixed xoxo

Bring back Libby. This one is terrible
