This app is great! I was thinking about making app app for myself just like this because I absolutely hate making App Store screenshots (talk about the second 90%). This does what I need to get an app update out the door with ease. There are a few things that could be done to make it better. - The device bezels that Google's marketing resources provide have a license agreement. It appears that these wireframes are being used in the app. The developer should pass on that license agreement to the user of the app to make sure they play by the rules. - Templates! I'd like to make a template and then provide a JSON file or the like along with a directory to images to automate the app. - A nice touch would be a File > New Project that asks you which devices and platforms you support and then creates placeholder for required assets. - While this fall Google will only require one screenshot per each device type, I would like to see this app have a strong opinion that the best experience is still per-device screenshots. - Support for multiple windows - different projects. I'd like to be able to look at multiple of my apps at a time. I have a visual style across my apps that I like to maintain. Having to change the device target a bunch is cumbersome and could be much better. - Support for multiple windows - the same project. I'd like the ability to quickly copy and paste the screenshot captions across different device types to make sure they're all lining up and easily edit with less push and pop. - Support to duplicate the copy from one device to another. I don't want to copy the entire screen including device screenshot, I want to just copy the image caption to another device. - The settings pane on Android feels like it is missing navigation push and pop functionality. For example going into Settings > XCStrings Files, there isn't a 'back' button to go back. When exploring the different settings screens of the app there is more back and forth and reopening of the window that should have IMHO support 'back' navigation.
I have a feature suggestion. I want to use colorful background images, but also want to use title text. I can't find a good text color for some of my images. Could there be a background specific to the text so I could set it to white with black text, and still have my colorful image used.
Thank you for making this tool.
This seems like a promising app, but there are some annoying bugs. I'm on a recent version (2.2.1) and still see the weird cross-screen state issues where: - Editing text will jump you to a previous screenshot - Adjusting the scale of an image ends up changing the scale of an image on a different screenshot. But the developer has been very responsive with workarounds so the trajectory is good.
This app is amazing and so much better than generating app store screenshots by hand or with any of the multiple free sites online. The features to copy screenshots from one device type like 6.7" Android to Mobile is exceptionally useful, as well as copying a device image or text to a different screenshot.
