This app would be wonderful except that it NEEDS on course shot tracking. To expect a high or even mid handicapper to remember every shot of the round that was just played is a bit much to ask for. If you figure playing bogey golf, with two putts on every green, that’s still 54 shots that have to be RECALLED and tracked after the round. In my humble opinion, that is unrealistic. I understand wanting to keep the app interface as uncluttered as possible. I don’t know how difficult it would be to make on course shot tracking an option that can be turned on or off. For most of us hackers, it ABSOLUTELY is needed.
Great app that allows you to plan ahead. Extremely useful to prepare for tournaments on courses you have never played before - much more user friendly and efficient than the good old Google Earth method. I don’t do data entry while playing. Looks like it would be a bit tedious. I have Arccos for shot tracking during rounds and then it is quite easy to review and enter shots on this app. I wish both would have a data interface. This feels like a new app and has a lot of potential. On my wishlist: display and / or factor in elevation changes; ability to save a “strategy” with notes, compatibility with shot tracking systems, target hcp carrying over different devices, web browser app.
Really cool to see visualization of your own shot patterns (imported from launch monitor) onto a course map.
The best feature for this app is to help golfers figure out the stroke gain and risk/reward percentage and I wanted to try it at my home course. I think what it basically does is to give you stroke gain based on your distance much more than the location of where your ball is. I pointed the direction of my target of a serve to be in the woods where you get blocked by the trees and it still gives me a stroke gain of half a shot. If my ball is in those trees chances of making par is cut Dien at least half and you look at almost a stroke or half a stroke penalty. Anyway it's not that accurate. I'm going to cancel it
First use today didn’t work for four holes finally linked and not user friendly, follow up attempted to use again to no avail absolute trash. Would be great to have strokes gained loss at a touch.
