Worked well. Easy to use. Did have a problem trying to use on Field Day. I couldn’t find a way to enter the FD exchange information.
Seems like the idea of the program is great. The problem I’m having is the time is out of sync with my Android. The time says 0600 when it’s 11:00 PM. Also moving the cursor for the frequency is very difficult to set to an exact frequency. If I could figure out how to fix these issuesi I would change my rating to 5 stars.
Once I worked through the proper cable wiring to work on my Android, I was able to use this app, and my radio’s VOX option to work a POTA session successfully. Well done!! PS: there was not a lot of info on how to build the cables, it may help a lot to have a little more info on how to do it.
I’m very excited for the progress on this app. The software seems there and it decodes and encodes FT8/FT4 just fine, but I hope it could be expanded to JS8call or other modes potentially in the future. It seems that running an integrated sound card such as the one in my Xiegu X6100 is not yet supported, as on both my Mobile Pro 2020 and my Android 12 Pro connecting an Google USB-C to C/Lightning cable was ignored and played the audio through the speaker. I hope in the future this method could be implemented as I would use it very regularly for SOTA in order to lighten my kit.
Some problems with sequencing of the other party was not following the expected sequence to the dot. Lost 23% of my QSOs today due to this. However being able to just plug my phone into my kx2 and do FT8 is awesome while on the go! This is a great start. Can’t wait to see where it goes.
