I am a resident of upstate NY and not a regular Philly subscriber, but I want to tell you, the Live Note technology is wonderful, and, although still new, will be a great asset to the Orchestra in the future. If you attend concerts in Philadelphia, I encourage you to use this great resource! I used it for Tchaikovsky’s Sixth and it added a great deal. Hopefully other orchestras will begin using this app as well!
The basic intent of this app appears to be advertisement rather than utility. It is difficult and cumbersome to see the program and performers for a given night without wading through promotional verbiage. Concerts are listed by captions, sometimes rather silly, rather than content. One has to go all the way through to a particular performance to find out who is conducting and who is soloist; the latter are given short shrift. It would be improved by adding a calendar similar to the website that one could quickly negotiate. Also a link to our subscription account so we could get a listing of upcoming concerts would be nice.
You can't actually buy tickets from it. It shows you what's available and then just spins and tells you they are not available. Nice job! I thought you were in the business of selling tickets.
