Describe With Art is a Education app by Virtual Speech Center Inc.. ****I like the receptive and the expressive components of this app. This not only increases the versatility of the app, but also increases your ability to use the app with mixed groups of students.
APK (Android Package Kit) files are the raw files of an Android app. Learn how to install describe-with-art.apk file on your phone in 4 Simple Steps:
Yes. We provide some of the safest Apk download mirrors for getting the Describe With Art apk.
1. The Describe with Art app was created by a certified speech and language pathologist for preschool and elementary school-age children who struggle with verbally describing or following directions containing descriptive vocabulary.
2. Children with language disorders or delays may have difficulty formulating correct descriptions to give correct pictures of what the children are trying to describe and may have difficulty following longer directions at school.
3. The Describe with Art app offers a built-in cueing system containing specific questions or directions that help children to elaborate when describing.
4. Children who exhibit language disorders often name the object they are asked to describe but struggle to elaborate and to organize their thought process.
5. The purpose of the Describe with Art app is to teach children how to describe things surrounding them and help them follow directions with descriptors in a fun and motivating way.
6. Young children are asked to describe objects or experiences in preschool, and older children might be asked to describe procedures, characters, a story, etc.
7. Children can also give directions to the other users using descriptive vocabulary with the audio feature off.
8. The question prompts in the "Describe It" activity are great for students who have difficulty formulating sentences/describing pictures on their own.
9. Children earn a paint palette for each correct response, and when they accumulate enough points, they can paint their own picture.
10. Children are welcomed by the painter, who encourages them to work hard.
11. -Receptive task- Following Directions (Multiple sets with pre-recorded directions).

Call me an app snob, but as a professional, I am sick of paying $10+ for a program that is essentially glorified flashcards. Will it *maybe* save you time planning out therapy? Yes. Will kids want to play it by virtue of it running on a Mobile? Maybe. I really wanted to like this program, but the GUI is time-consuming to navigate, the graphics already look dated and amateur, and the content is inflexible. As a provider, I hope to procure materials which I *also* enjoy to use and watch, especially since I am subjected to it's use so frequently. If this were a board game I'd already be selling it second-hand.
My kids love this app! The real life pictures are great for true descriptions and carryover into other activities. The prompts given are similar to those I would be giving and kids love the pictures they get to draw at the end. My one suggestion would be having an option to decrease picture stimuli when using the following directions portion of the game.
Love the pics (real photos) & activities. Not so crazy about the coloring activity for reinforcement-my students find the app engaging without.
Nice, real photographs of items in the receptive task (following direction based upon what is described). Nice variety of ethnicities presented in the describing/ answering questions expressive language task. Can't wait to use with my students this school year!
