Boxy SVG for Android

What is SVG? The World Wide Web Consortium says, "Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is like HTML for graphics." If we know anything about HTML, it's that it's perhaps one of the most ubiquitous formats ever created. SVG, as a different but similar markup language, is also ubiquitous, but sometimes ignored. The truth is that most vector software treats SVG as a second class citizen. Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer both "support" the format, but the actual quality of the markup on export is anyone's guess, as is whether it'll even use SVG standards properly. What makes this application different is it ONLY uses SVG to save its files. And what it does with SVG is generate extremely clean, modern, readable, workable, and universal vector graphics files. In fact, I was astounded to discover that you can actually modify the markup by hand, and see the editor update. Or, update the editor and watch the markup update. Even the selection of elements is synced between the markup and the user interface. This is by far the easiest way to use advanced SVG features like symbols, defs, links, filters, blending modes, masks, classes, IDs, and metadata. Whether you're a developer that wants to add CSS styles through the use of element IDs, or someone looking for a simple design app, I think you'll be equally satisfied. What looks like one of the most simple vector apps becomes one of the most powerful because you can literally open these files in any web browser and will NEVER be locked in to a non-standard format.

I've been using Boxy for a while and it's a pretty decent SVG editor for not a lot of money. My main complaint isn't about the app. It's that the Boxy website doesn't work in Safari, even to ask a question or submit a bug. Otherwise, great job!

Love using this to quickly edit SVGs. for more complex work i will definitely use a full-featured program butt this is great for doing just about anything you'd need in a hurry!

Love that this is cross platform. Does everything my team needs across our Android and windows machines.

The only downside to this is that it is addictive. Once you figure out the clicks, you want to go on and on.
