This app is excellent if you want to generate simple fractals, but the level of customization is so limiting that I deleted the app. Good work, just not useful for my purposes.
Scale is very simple and straightforward. I’ve created a bunch of beautiful fractal images to use as wallpaper. I do wish that you could save the current settings so you could open a fractal later and change colors or pick a different zoom level. That would be a great setting I’d love to see. I’d also love to be able to rotate fractals. That would be great, too. Because sometimes I feel like a design would look better from a slightly rotated angle. But, as-is, I’m very happy with it. Thank you for providing it for free. The math-lover in me is very grateful! :) For those having issues (as well as for the developers), I’m using High Sierra on a 13-inch, early 2015 Android Air with 8GB RAM and a 2.2GHz Intel core i7 and I don’t think I’ve had Scale crash once for me. I’ve also never had any performance issues.
Crashes on every third attempt to save a design to disk. This is infuriating when you’ve spent the last few minutes tweaking the design and colors, especially since color presets can’t be saved and the app reopens only with the default design displayed. Updating this review to remove a star. When I said it crashes on every third attaempt to save an image, I wasn’t kidding. EVERY THIRD TIME. So now I just goof around for a minute or two after saving the first two, then I either quit or wait for the crash.
I try to save but then it hangs or something and I can't save my art. Please tell me how to fix this problem. Thanks!
Don't bother wasting your time with this crap it won't even download to my computer even though i meet all requiremnts. the guy at the genius bar couldn't even figure it out
