When a tornado was heading straight for Jarrell last week around 9:00 p.m. so after dark, I was watching a program I had recorded earlier on DVR so there was no LIVE news on and I had my headphones on. The tornado app alert went off on my phone LOUD. I dropped everything, woke my husband up, and we headed for the storm shelter below ground with our dog and then the power went out just as we stepped outside to go down into the shelter and it was really lightning everywhere and the wind was terrible! have a local weather app but I never heard that one! The tornado hit one mile south of our house! I have added my mom and our adult children too so it also tells me when they are under a watch or warning! I have shared this app with all my loved ones and I thank God I have this app ✝️I believe it will save many lives including our family and friends so thank you so much ♥️🌪
Update just posted. Updated what? Nothing on my end. What is the point of posting updates if you can't fix what nearly half of reviewers here have been complaining about for the past 2+ years that render it useless?
I’m a heavy sleeper, so I got this app as a back up in case I can’t hear a siren. Well, I experienced my first tornado warning last night with the app (no touchdowns near me), and I will say that the that the alert noise is loud and honestly, terrifying. I was still awake when the warning happened, but I have no doubt that this thing will wake me up if something were to happen in the middle of the night. If you live anywhere there are tornadoes, you want this app!
It is hard to credit the app any points, as once you attempt to add a location, it fails with an error of location not found. This is shocking sense the app it self provides you a list based on a search, then you select from the app list. The concept is great, the deployment and coding is horrible.
Tornado warning last night, this app alerted before the sirens, and before the other city/county alerts came through! Easy to use
