  • Not that good

This app does not really help me or my violin and it charges me $1 personally I don’t like it at all and I haven’t learned anything I don’t even think the buttons work!

  • It’s ok

I have all 3 for my students. It helps them a lot while they are learning a new string or as a reference for where a finger goes on the instrument. Assuming that they use it at home. I just use it with a mixture of other note reading methods (I Can Read Music by Suzuki is one of them). It would be better if you could touch the card and flip instead of hitting the flip button. You can’t get this for a laptop.

  • I wish it worked!

It looks like this was built once upon a time with the features my violin students need, but half the buttons don’t work anymore and the interface is extremely confusing anyway. Too bad!

  • Violin note cards

Great app. I learned to read music with it. The auto play feature is super and helps me gauge my progress.

  • Very Helpful App!!!

I’m learning how to play the violin as an adult and had little knowledge of musical notes and this app has helped so much! The app’s appearance is quite “antique” but it has been helpful! The first slide allows you to choose the notes you want to practice (there is a violin visual and the notes are on it for you to choose). The next slides (“flashcards”) allow you to practice the notes you chose. You can also be quizzed on those notes. The “flashcards” are handy since they show you the note on the staff and then the back of the flashcard (click on “flip”) shows you where it is located on the violin and it also gives you the option to hear how the note sounds. Although the app could be a bit more user friendly and improve it’s appearance it really does provide what’s necessary to learn the notes on a violin and how to read them on a staff. I think it’s well worth 99± for sure!
