It’s a good weather team that does important work and between the ad when you load, the banners all over every page, and now full screen video ads when you try to look at forecasts in detail, it’s an absolute nightmare to get to useful information.
The new ads that open when switching modes are very annoying as there is no way to close the ad. The only option is the “learn more” button. I don’t want to learn more about facelifts, I want to look at the radar map. This is a dealbreaker for what used to be a great local weather app. I get that you have to monetize your service, and ads are the price we pay, but they now prevent the service actually working. I’ll be looking for another app.
I was able to handle the ads when you open the app. But now there’s ads when you open the radar! If there’s a storm I don’t want ads. I want to see the radar.
Used to love this app, now every time I try to see the weather there is ad after ad.
Used to love this but it gets worse every update- you can cancel the overlays as much as you want but whenever you open the app the next time, they’re back on the map. The ads are ridiculous & required, if you try to go between apps you have to wait for the app to reload so don’t close it down until you’re done, AND NOW if you click on the map to see where storms are/are headed, ADS LOAD AND BLAST SOUND LOUDLY!! Their competition has the same map developer yet somehow doesn’t have this feature’- KWWL has much better forecasts but this app has gotten so bad I have no choice but to delete.
