I simply wanted to change the color of the chords. My friend is using it on a big fancy Mobile and is paying the monthly subscription. I thought I could save by purchasing a whole year, so I did. But the option to change chord colors, is not available for the Android as I sadly discovered. Receiving a SongSheet where the chord color was changed, did not result in a song sheet with chords that are easier to see. The chords my friend adjusted to Red, reminded the stock blue chord colors. I feel cheated, and I want my money back.
SongSheet Pro does an excellent job of making it appear this is is free and there’s no place that I can find their current subscription rate but to save anyone else the time and aggravation I have, I’ll post that info here. $4.99/month $44.99/year $89.99/lifetime I highly encourage you not to waste time or money on this app, there are many that are as good or better for much less, some even free.
I’ve been using this app for a while now. It’s was very helpful w/ solo performance. After a Covid hiatus for a year and a half I’m back working as duet w/ a woodwind player as well as solo jobs. How great that I can import scores now. I use Dorico (Steinburg)and SongSheet imports PDF’s without any problem. Very clean copy, very clean prints ( my partner is not a digital device user). I’ve given a 5 star because of ease of use and reliability on the job. A notes window would be nice for scores. I use the metadata window now. It’s limited. I still have difficulty calling up the selection window to label verses, chorus, etc. I’m probably not doing something correctly. It will sometimes take 10 or more taps to get that window to appear. Still earns a 5 star
I don’t mind paying for something if I know the cost, but why can’t companies just be up front? Put it in your description so you aren’t wasting people’s time. $5 a month, $45 a year, or one time of $90. Just add it!
I really wish it would let you write on PDFs. Also, once I take pictures of a score there is no way to rearrange the pages. Sometimes some pages are too small to use.
