I’ve had this Yahoo email for many many years and it was always trouble free, but lately it is nothing but a SPAM generator. Yes, I have followed all of their suggestions to clean it up and filter the SPAM, but all SPAM still goes directly into my in-box and there is a lot of it. The app also automatically subscribes me into websites I’ve never been to or heard of. It’s a giant commercial generator and not much of an email service. Too bad.
Over the past 30 plus years, I have either had an ATT LAN, internet, cell, or email account. After repeated attempts to reduce their extremely high monthly charges, I finally switched my LAN, cell, internet provider (a savings of over $125/month), but maintained my email account. Now, that ATT/Yahoo has figured out how to charge their email subscribers $1.99 per month for a “plus account” that includes spam blocking, my daily email is now FLOOED with emails from ATT/Yahoo’s antivirus partners Norton and MacAfee (US and UK spamers) as well as dozens of regular and lewd span emails from all over the globe. This not a trivial complaint as I now receive a minimum of 40 plus spam emails daily, which makes my email unsecured and vulnerable to additional email attacks and hacks. And, yes, I did try to resolve and bring this problem to their attention. Nothing changed. Instead of being shaked down, I made the painful decision to abandon my ATT/Yahoo email account of the past 30 plus years, which has my entire life connected to it (i.e., IRS, SSN, DMV, Medicare, medical providers., etc) and move my personal email to a Gmail account, which does a fantastic job of filtering down email directly from their network/server completely FREE. Instead of feeling like a long-term, valued customer, I feel BETRAYED by ATT/Yahoo for the Judas price of $1.99 a month! Corporations no longer care about anything other than how they can make a buck off of their customers and I am extremely disappointed with a company of this size stooping to such low standards to shake down their customers. They have lost any future business with them and/or their partners forever.
Needed to get more gas but could not get it
For reasons unknown to me Yahoo fails to remember I am in charge. When resetting a password your rules are not acceptable. I choose not you.
I have been hacked and can’t get anyone from yahoo to help
