I have a weird toy-like external monitor, free tools like Lunar didn't change the brightness, but this did work! For some reason the slider goes backwards to what I would think (dimmer on the right), and it leaves a trail of slider handles, but those aren't visible after adjusting so it's not a big issue.
I've been using it for years, I love this app.
I have been using this application for many years and have generally had no issues with it (aside from needing to quit and start again when changing monitors). Recently, this application began inhibiting previously disabled Safari extensions from being re-enabled (the check boxes will not check). I discovered this by removing all login items and adding them back one-by-one. Once I quit ScreenDimmer, I can re-enable any of my previously disabled Safari Extensions. I will update this review if/when I receive feedback from the developer.
I like to fall asleep while watching stuff on my computer, and the lowest brightness on Android is still wayyy too bright. This app made my life so much easier. Thank you.
Would be nice if it worked with any number of monitors instead of being limited to 3 (feels like an artificial limit) but if you are like me with 3 externals and you have your Android open you can't control 1 of the externals using this program but you can close your Android and then control all 3 externals. I use it for watching movies and dimming the two left/right monitors and leaving the center on.
