There is no way to close this app once it’s opened, you have to reboot your phone. Perhaps it has never been updated to work with a newer Android that doesn’t have a home button.
On an Android this is only good as a mirrored device. On an Mobile it is better but drops the connection if you minimize the app to switch over to weather or something else. Just give us an update please!
Agree completely with the previous review. For example, I can view the screen and see AIS traffic, but I can’t pull up AIS info without leaving the flying bridge and using the MFD. It is clear that Raymarine’s main interest is to sell me another overpriced MFD.
If the app doesn’t find your mfd, it’s locked in a loop of “do you want to retry?” There is no “no” option and no swiping up to force-quit the app. You have to do a hard restart of your phone. How did Raymarine or even Google let this get through?
I mistakingly recently purchased several Raymarine products for my 36' sailboat, after using this app it's horrendous. Called the manufacture in January they said "a brand new working app would be released within weeks" Still no app update in 5 months. The worst marine navigation equipment manufacture bar none. Support is useless and they even lie. I will never purchase another raymarine product!
