I used the app once. Ordered all the groceries, proceeded to checkout, and at the very last step received a vague message of “pickup expired”. Come to find out there were no slots available at that time for pickup yet the app made them available so it was very confusing. To add to the poor experience, when I called the store no one picked up the phone the first two times I called.

If you shop at Safeway, use the app to clip deals. Has exclusive rewards and deals For app programmer: the cell size of the collection view for the saved deals page needs to have more height. Top of words get clipped and hard to read.

Gave 4 stars because the app didn’t explain where the Drive and Go spots are located in this large parking lot that is on 3 sides of the store! The young man that brought my order explained where the spots are located. But the main reason I gave 4 stars is that a substitution was made without contacting me. That’s dangerous for me due to a severe food allergy. But after checking the ingredient wasn’t present. I’ll be using the app again.

The Safeway app is easy to navigate. It allows me to clip coupons and save money with very little effort. I also appreciate being able to click on that coupon item and add it to the cart instead of searching for it in the app later. It does a good job of letting me know if an item is out of stock before I try to buy it.

The app isn’t working and when you try to report the problem it gives an error.
