TrueDoF-Pro DoF Calculator is a Photo & Video app by George Douvos. TrueDoF-Pro is a major step forward in working with depth of field. Specifically designed for working professionals, the app offers features, versatility, customisability and no-fuss ease of use to make it the ideal tool — a tool that simply does its job (superbly) without getting in the way.
APK (Android Package Kit) files are the raw files of an Android app. Learn how to install truedof-pro-dof-calculator.apk file on your phone in 4 Simple Steps:
Yes. We provide some of the safest Apk download mirrors for getting the TrueDoF-Pro DoF Calculator apk.
1. In some situations (e.g. landscape photography) it is best to work quite differently: Specify the distances to the nearest and furthest objects that you wish to appear sharp and, from that, determine the focus distance and aperture that will give the SHARPEST POSSIBLE IMAGE (not simply one that meets your preset sharpness standard, which may not be the best possible).
2. Want to “work backwards,” whereby you specify the depth of field you’re after, and have the app tell you what aperture and focus distance you need? Couldn't be easier.
3. Want to lock in a particular far limit of depth of field (e.g. as a cinematographer, would you like to lock in the far end of a set)? Slide the far limit pointer to your desired distance, and hit its lock button.
4. A key (and unique) TrueDoF feature is the option to include the effects of diffraction in the calculation of DoF, giving a much more accurate indication of how sharp the image will be (see the article "Image Sharpness vs Aperture" at ).
5. And if, in your landscape and architectural photography, you would like to achieve insanely huge depth of field, with astonishing image sharpness, try FocusStacker.
6. Specifically designed for working professionals, the app offers features, versatility, customisability and no-fuss ease of use to make it the ideal tool — a tool that simply does its job (superbly) without getting in the way.
7. * Unprecedented input options: Want to specify a far limit of DoF? Or a near limit? Now you can.
8. In any DoF calculator, you specify a sharpness criterion — the blur spot diameter.
9. TrueDoF-Pro is a major step forward in working with depth of field.
10. Take the guesswork out of the focus stacking technique and achieve remarkably consistently (and excellent!) results.
11. For that, there is only one app: OptimumCS-Pro, the unique optimum camera settings calculator (this is NOT simply a DoF calculator that "works backwards").

The old depth of field tables assumed too much: a rather generous circle of confusion (“blur-spot” - based on old low-res equipment) and acceptable focus was always assumed to go all the way to infinity. But what if you have a 50Mp full-frame sensor, a high-res lens, and the most distant object in the frame is quite close? I have been using this app for a few years now, and refer to it on every shoot. I use a Nikon Z 7 with the 14-30 f4 S, 24-70 f4 S, 24-70 f2.8 S, and 70-200 f4 AF-S. This is a high-res system, and I find a circle of confusion setting of 20 nanometers to be about right for this sensor when making very large prints (tho still experimenting). I love being able to set the circle of confusion with a continuously-adjustable slider, and how the app indicates which sensor and film sizes generally correspond to each circle size. When you move a slider (either f-stop or distance), the other slider moves itself to correspond to the change in the slider you are moving. For example if you move the f-stop slider from f2.8 to f8, the other slider will increase the DoF (distance between near and far focus points increases). The way I usually use the app is: 1. set the focal length I’m using (say 28mm) 2. usually set the f-stop to f8 or f11 3. lock the closest distance marker to my estimated distance to the nearest object in the frame 4. the 2 other markers now tell me the hyperfocal distance (distance to set focus at) and the farthest distance with acceptable focus. Based on that farthest distance, I then decide whether to alter my lens settings use focus stacking, or alter my composition. It’s simple, elegant, brilliant, and adds tremendously to the precision and enjoyment of your photography. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Needs more work.
Exactly what i needed!! Straight forward, simple, and fast. Not sure why the other guy said this app was "unusable" for not having predefined cameras in the app. You dont need that silly. Just know what sensor / film size you have. His lack of knowledge doesn't make this a bad app. This app works fantastic.
unusable. there is no list of sensors or cameras with their particular circle of confusion.
Well implemented app. Easy to use. Nice looking. A great tool for explaining DOF.
