Simple, great.
This app worked well for a while and has recently ‘disappeared’ - meaning that when I open an MP3 file the tag window does not appear. Now useless. I wrote ‘support’ but have not heard back.
It feels like this app has been abandoned by its developer, which is a shame, because I use it frequently as I import and tag my CD collection. Thankfully it still functions in 10.12, but I am worried about its future. It won’t work indefinitely, after all. It does a really good job tagging pretty much any kind of taggable audio file you throw at it, which is great. I wish it could also preview tracks. It certainly doesn’t need to play the whole track, but a quick 15-30 second preview might be helpful. Another small-but-helpful feature (which I requested once upon a time when the dev was still active) was a way to see the size of any embedded artwork. A tooltip on mouseover, for instance, or just a display beneath the art in the artwork pane. Anyway, it’s a good app though I’m not sure I can recommend an apparently abandoned app that costs $5 when there are doubtless other tagging apps which might do as well for less (or nothing!).
Tag can calculate Replay Gain. Handy! (Replay Gain's Album Gain is recognized by iTunes; see Get Info > Options > volume adjust)
