I need - no, REQUIRE - a GFR calculator that lets me individualize results to my patient’s individual height and weight. Too many of my patients are way off of ‘standard’ parameters for that to make sense. I had an ancient app that would do this but it no longer works on the current iOS upgrade. I was hoping this app would do so since the cGFR calculator on their website has that as an option. No such luck - and that makes this app useless to me. It was removed immediately after downloading.
Very handy, but there is a flaw that must be addressed. The race and sex fields change when they should not. Tap on “male” for example and tap on on it a second, third, fourth time. Why does it change back and forth and back and forth? Please fix that behavior. Thanks.
I wish I’d known about this several years ago-it would have saved a few grey hairs. I’m 57, a former RN-Paramedic who had to leave Medical School in my final year due to growing health issues related to my genetic disorder, nail-patella syndrome. I (and mySon) were also born with just 1, affected kidney. It wasn’t until the last two years that the proteinuria and overall function began to decline. Because I’m not a transplant candidate, we’re keeping an extremely close eye on everything. Thank you for making this available-AND for everything else you guys do to help patients like myself!! PS I sent the link to this app to my primary & nephro -neither of whom had been previously aware of it.
Use this app everyday. Only wish you had a Google Watch companion.
Great app and useful for me as a student pharmacist!
