Once a while it is needed track on the word count after i finish my articles and i have been doing this the hard way all along until i found this app. It came to my rescue and saved a lot of time. Its fast, simple and helpful. A much have app for people like us.
I write in Textedit with every editing tool turned off so it is a pure blank tablet. I don’t have Microsoft Word, or any other program to use on my computer. I was desperately lacking the sense of accomplishment as I went along. After a week of pushing through a novel using textedit, I felt like I was spitting in the wind, UNTIL I DOWNLOADED QUICKCOUNTER! It sounds extreme but it changed everything. By simply going to it on occasion and checking my word count, I could keep an eye on my daily output, set goals for myself, and feel good about my accomplishments at the end of the day.
For a free piece of software, this is GREAT! Highly customizable (using smartlist-like functions), easy to use, and low profile. Very nice
Excellent App! It would be even more helpful though for SEO if it calculated and showed the unique & non-unique word frequency percentages. That would allow me to give it a 5 out of 5!
I used to always paste into Word from my Android TextEdit, now its kind of like boom! Not just the word count but character count and frequence of words and characters. Simple and Easy!
