This game is not very good . For starters my game was ended as if I had lost but I could clearly see a move in which I could defend my king, not to mention I wouldn’t have had to because I had my opponent’s king in check soon to be checkmate. Second I was not able to move the three pawns in front of my king nor my king or queen when my oppenents bishop posed a threat.
The kings go on their opposite color. Kings and Queens are not supposed to be in the same column.
Just has me sit at a blank screen and tells me to keep trying to join. My internet connection is perfectly fine
I enjoy playing other people online and am better than most. In my opinion this game needs two major improvements and i am hoping the designers see this review. 1. The games should be notated and you should have an option to email the games moves to yourself if it was particularly fun or you want to learn from it. 2. Improve the online game hall. Make it possible to watch other peoples games WHILE you wait for someone to join your table. It would also be cool to see restrictions on who can join your table. Like no one under 4000 because it makes no sense to play people who have a small fraction of your rating, there is nothing to gain. Anyone, love the game thanks!
I installed this application for my Mom, who loves to play chess. The setup panels are poorly sized, and you cannot resize them, so the "ok" and "cancel" buttons are off the screen --- she had no idea how to configure the game. I just came back to a computer with a setup screen with no close button that I had to figure out how to close. A more comfortable computer user would of course not have a problem with this. But the setup is poorly designed from a layout and widget choice point of view. Not a fun chess game if you can't start a game!
