I have played this game on my Mobile and it’s quite enjoyable but I downloaded onto my Android Air and it won’t open!! Or rather it keeps closing unexpectedly before the game actually starts. And I don’t see any good Reporting it to Google because I have hit the Report button close to 10 times in the last 15 minutes.
I was looking for a game that teaches you some form of the real Mahjong (not the solitaire, tile-matching game). This one is okay, but it clearly has a limited repertoire of deals/hands (if you play a number of times you begin to recognize patterns in the deals/hands) There's a speaker icon -- presumably to toggle sound off or on -- it doesn't work on my Android (mountain lion). I had to mute the Android's sound. Nothing really to help you learn how the scoring works, or the rules of the play. I deleted the app.
It IS actually Mahjong for $2 & that's something. I've paid more for games that I might not have picked up for free, but were not Mahjong at all. Games which are really just tile match memory games should not advertise as Mahjong.
Thank you for finally making a REAL mahjong game—not the silly tile matching game! This game uses Taiwan rules and has good graphics and good music. I haven't found any bugs and it's fun to play. But the whinny lady telling you to hurry gets a little annoying. There is no English with this game, so you need to either know mahjong well, or speak and read Mandarin. It's a simple version of the game; you can't see the whole board. It's a two-player game, not four player. But that's fine—it's still fun and good practice. I hope the developer continues to improve on this game, but it's already pretty nice. It's definitely worth the $1.99 price for a good diversion game. Some improvements I'd suggest: ability to turn off the lady's voice; turn it into a four-player game and show all players; ability to switch to other rules like Hong Kong or Japan. If the developer did some of that, then this would easily be worth $10 or more.
The info says its offered in english and chinese but I cant figure out how to get english.
