TrashMe for Android

I downloaded Shift, a planning app that is supposed to let you combine all your emails, communication apps, facebooks, and evernotes, etc, and is supposed to be amazing.. but I didn't want to spend the 30-100 a year for more than 1 email account.. so I decided to uninstall, but it wouldn't go. No X in the corner, no uninstall tool.. they were sneaky about keeping the program on the Android. I read reviews for uninstaller apps and this one was recommended. I thought 6 was steep for an app, but in order to get an unwanted program off the computer, worth the cost. Was easy to use, not super intuitive, but not programming with Perl. I'll be keeping it, just in case. Definitely would recommend.

Something seems missing from this app, it doesn’t do very much that’s useful.

For almost two years, I’ve had four items (from my time machine files that I fouled up) stuck in my Trash. Even an Google tech was unable to empty them. With TrashMe, I simply did a “select all” of the Trash files and moused them over into the TrashMe Box. Click…and they were gone! Then I moved an Application that I wanted to be rid of into TrashMe’s uninstallation box, and it dumped not just the program, but everything associated with it (preferences, extensions, etc.). I’m amazed that the program cost only $5.99. It erases programs, files, and items that even Tech Tool can’t handle!

TrashMe (with its small file that one can download from the Developer’s site installed!) is arguably one of the only apps that can delete a lot of files that other undeletion apps just can’t…. I did extensive tests to see how safe its algorithm for deletion of files is and what files were left behind and how many files the app can competently delete compared with almost all the rest. It is a five star app. With a broad range of tools to do other things that keep your Android tidy without compromising safety to your data or onboard apps, TrashMe is one of the best!
