PocketBible Bible Study App for Android

I have had this product since my very first Palm Pilot. It has servived every devise since then and I still have everything I have ever purchased. The resource options or phemonenal and discounts are often offered. I love this app. It makes studying the bible so easy. I always keep three panes open so I can easily switch form the bible to study notes or to a devotional. But even swithching bible versions or study reference materials is simple. The Study function seaches everything and presents it in a comprehensive document. This little gem is hidden in the app store but now that you have found you must have it.

It’s been over two years since last update. Still a great bible app, but it’s falling behind. Are you guys at Laridian OK?

I reported this problem well over a year ago directly to Laridian & never had any response from them. Except for this perpetual problem, everything else works well, and I have been using the app for a number of years. I am giving 2 stars because there is a bug somewhere that is causing this problem, and Laridian had totally ignored me when I reported it - absolutely Zero response. I always use multiple tabs and keep 5 open so I can keep up with daily reading on both Old & New Testaments and still have 3 other tabs for for other research or for different lessons in church and Bible study classes. The problem is the app just randomly synchronizes all 5 tabs to the same Bible chapter & verse, and it often does it many times during my daily readings, so it loses the chapters I am working on for daily readings and loses areas in other tabs I am using. To say the least, it’s is a VERY annoying problem that continues to happen. I have checked the settings in the the app and the “synch Bibles/Commentaries” is NOT selected and cannot find anywhere else in the app for a setting that could be causing the problem, my operating system is current on updates, I have the most current version of the app, and I have shut down and restarted my Mobile numerous times. There isn’t anything else I can do to stop this irritating problem from my end. The auto-synch happened 3 times in less than an hour today, and all I did was to switch between tabs every time it happened. It’s getting to the point that I will have to start looking for a different Bible app because it is driving me crazy to have to constantly go back and locate where I was reading or doing research. I really like all the other features in the Pocket Bible app, but this problem is making it a non-starter and unusable.

I have tried many Bible software programs and apps over the last 30 years. By far, Pocket Bible has exceeded my expectations. I use it daily and have it synced to my phone and pc. Keep up the good work Craig.

I’ve used PocketBible for more than 15 years and it has all my notes and highlights synchronized across all my devices. I love the different reading plans and all the customizations.
