Thank you for this app. I listen to it everyday. I like the sleep timer because I can set it and fall asleep while listening to it. I recommend it to my family and friends. I love the sounds, music for example on Psalm 23: I make a play list of it and listen to it over and over and meditate on it: it is excellent, peaceful, comforting, encouraging. The NKJV is my favorite version. Thank you.

I got the word of promise on CD when it first came out over 10 years ago and listened all the way through in a couple of months while at work. It changed my life. It became a part of me. I can’t say enough about the attention to detail and production quality of this. The way that with the New Testament letters, they try to make you feel like you’re with them as they write, wether it be in their home or in a prison. You can hear them filling their quill in the ink and even hear people outside on the streets and then the writer will close his shutters for some quiet. If they’re in prison while writing, you can hear mice, water dripping and big iron doors closing. It’s priceless. And then the Old Testament stories are done in a totally different way. The story of Jonah and David and Goliath are amazing. The sound of crashing waves and then the quiet ominous sound effects as the fish goes down underwater with Jonah in his belly. It’s pretty creepy. Just imagine what you would hear watching a big budget movie and that’s what you get here. Seriously! I could go on and on. There’s is something about committing yourself to listening through large sections and experiencing the characters and stories take a place in your heart. It’s amazing. You know how the small still voice of God will come in your heart? Well, mine comes in the voice of Jim Caviezel sometimes. The word of promise has done more for me than even the passion of the Christ movie did and it helps that Jim Caviezel is the voice for Jesus as he was in the movie! Oh yeah, there’s over 500 voices represented. No more of the one narrator deepening his voice to be the voice of God. There is one actor that is only the voice of God. One actor for Jesus, Paul, Peter and on and on. There’s a dedicated actor for pretty much every character in the Bible. Regarding the actual app, thank you WOP team for including a high quality audio option. I didn’t know it was there at first and was disappointed by the quality. Once you click the toggle for high quality audio it is the original uncompressed audio. Also, thank you for the ability to make custom playlists, though the transition from one passage to another can be a bit rough and jarring because of the different music and moods from one passage to the next. Guess there’s really nothing to do about that. It’s not a deal breaker though. Anyway, just had to write a review on something that has changed my life forever.

Thank you for the different speed levels for listening. So helpful for my old Brain! I can savor, meditated, comprehend so much better each verse with the slower speed. I love the background sound effects, the different voices, the study notes, definitions and helps. Love this App of the New King James. I play it in the night with earphones when I can’t sleep or if my Husband is gone then I just turn it on and listen through the phone speaker and fill the room with the Word of God. Devil hates it and puts me quickly to sleep every-time! I play it while getting dressed in the morning, while cooking and cleaning in the kitchen or cleaning the house - I connect my phone with the big portable music speaker we have or sometimes just carry in my pocket with it playing . I put it in my pocket and listen to the word of God when walking with it playing out loud or earphones. What a major blessing to my life - saturating my mind with scripture. So much better than listening to the news or the today show or anything else! Nothing gives you joy and healing as the Word of God!
