I actually like the app; I am just wondering how to actually add a photo to my entries. I think I’ve tried every way imaginable.
Using Diarie is like writing your journal on a deck of playing cards. The work area is much too small and it can not be enlarged. It is not user friendly. The software is version 1.1.1 that was last updated in 2011. Looks like there no more support coming our way. After wasting one day with this program, I am deleting it. This was not good experience. Solution: I decided to use a simple text editor and secure a special folder for my journal by changing the read/write permissions at the folder level. I always have the option to encrypt the files. This gives me more flexibility and my choice of writing tools.
This version claims to have fixed the bug that cause 'loss of data in some cases'. When you consider that all those 'cases' mean diary entries that you can't get back, that's a pretty serious bug for a journalling app. Let's hope it really is fixed.
Ok so Diarie's skeumorphic interface is cute but it has basically no features. There's no timed password protect, no export controls that I can see, no preferences other than pulling up the password field (which doesn't even have a password confirmation flow- if you misstype your password you're screwed), and no synchronization across computers or platforms. No printing. No backup. Did I say no backup? No backup. No confirmation on delete of an entry. And the "delete an entry" button is to the left of the "add an entry" button where Western readers will see it first. No Twitter, Facebook, sharing, posting, e-mailing of any kind. I already called out "no export" but this is important- how are you supposed to get your precious diary entries out of here after writing them??? This app is kind of ridiculous.
I like this app, just one thing, It would be perfect if it could open into a large screen, and I dont like the shape of this app.
