When I use other apps to do a lookup, they seem to be able to use the DNS servers assigned by my client VPN connection. When I do so with this app, even using an FQDN, it doesn’t resolve.
As per other reviews it only uses 8.8.8.8 and ignores the phones DNS settings so it’s not helpful to really test DNS the phone is using. Also it never returns and zone records at all for any lookup.
There seems to be a history with the paid version where it crashes when the ad supported version did not. I like others paid for the pro version to support the developer. Now the app doesn’t work.
It was a perfect app no issues at all. I wanted to support the dev so I pay the $2 the app crashed after removing the adds and will not start. Deleted the app and reinstalled no change. I hope it is fixed in an update.
