1) The app looks like it can store more than one city for quick changes, but when I try to add a city it overwrites the one stored - I can only store one city. The most recent update ssaid “city lookup fixed”. The lookup might have been fixed but I can only store one at a time. 2) For the last week the temp shown is ZERO. I tried looking at other cities with the same result. I’m getting ready to look for something else. I hope I can find the menu bar readouts I really like about this app. I'm using OSX 10.12.6.
After using Weatherman LIte for some time now, I’ve found it to be a great app for keeping updated on NWS current conditions, forecasts, alerts and radar. I use the menubar icon only so I don’t know about the dock icon issue but what I do know is, there are no disappointments here. I would rate it A+ for functionality, B+ for appearance and A+ for system compatibility.
This app seems to work well - except for the dock icon. When you first launch the app, the dock icon matches all the proper weather info. However, the dock icon never updates as long as you leave the app open. Even if you click the dock icon or go into preferences and change its settings, it won’t update unless you quit the app and restart, then it will be correct…but never change. also, the option to “Not show the icon” under Dock prefs doesn’t work. So not only is the dock icon usually wrong, you can’t get rid of it.
when you have a hazardous weather alert : please listen to NOAA weather radio or go to weather.gov on the Internet for more information about the following hazards... doesn't help us when we're going to your app for the information I might as well delete it and go strictly to NOAA or weather.gov…I downloaded your app forYOUto give me the information not to be directed elsewhere
Can not change cities shown. The city that came up on the app when I downloaded is 1500 milles away and I can not change it to my location. Not real helpful.
